Brazil will increase corn production by 16.61% in the 2018/19 season

Brazil in the season 2018/19 will produce 93.366 million tons of corn. With such a forecast made today the agency SAFRAS & Mercado. Reports agency Grain On-Line.

The January forecast is 1.65 less than the November forecast, but 16.61% more than last season's collection.

Including the summer corn harvest (safrinha) in the Center-South region will increase from the previous 24.557 million tons to 24.837 million tons.

SAFRAS & Mercado in the whole country predicts an increase in acreage by 3.4% to 16.786 million hectares, and an average yield from 49.31 centners per hectare to 55.62 centners per hectare.
