Indonesia mulls palm oil levies increase to support biodiesel plans

Indonesia may further increase palm oil export levies in future to support its ambitious biodiesel programme as the price of crude oil is expected to remain weak next year, a senior Finance Ministry official said on Wednesday. Indonesia collects levies from palm oil exports to fund the cost difference between fuel made from palm oil and fossil diesel fuel as incentives for producers.
